The theme for this year's APHM International Healthcare
Conference & Exhibition is "Tomorrow's Healthcare Challenges
- Are you ready?"
A hospital exists not only
to deliver value to its customers, but to all stakeholders,
such as the investors, staff, as well as the community.
As stakeholders become more knowledgeable and discerning,
the salient challenge in the immediate future is : “How do
we add value?”, while not forgetting the emphasis on patient
safety.
Therefore, the conference this year will be geared towards
value creation and quality value design.
Another highlight will be the focus on Legal & Ethical
implications of obtaining patient consent. This follows
high-profile media coverage where doctors are increasingly
being called upon to justify their actions and motives.
Views on acceptable practice in obtaining consent are
rapidly changing and existing guidelines may no longer be
appropriate.
This year will also witness the 1st APHM International
Nursing Conference 2007 on 17 June 2007. The nursing
community will discuss issues pertaining to currently
accepted practices and value creation for customers. The
modern Nurse needs to be technically competent and possess
career flexibility to deliver added-value.
There
are over 90 exhibition booths showcasing the latest in
healthcare technology in this 3 days event.
The Exhibition is open to public.
Free entrance.
