The FIC's - KL Hilton

For those who want to experience some of Kuala Lumpur’s Fine Dinning then one of the places that needs to be high on the list is Fic’s. Fic’s is the Hilton Kuala Lumpur’s French Restaurant. This month the chef is cooking up something a little different.

Mushrooms! Yes, Mushrooms. In a wide variety of dishes. So if you’re a lover of the fine fungus find yourself at Fic’s this month. Also throughout the month of March is a live lobster promotion. Succulent Lobsters flow in directly form Canada. Prepared to your liking from baked to garlic and butter or something out of the ordinary lobster fried in clay pot with spicy sauce.

In Kuala Lumpur’s dinning scene so many restaurants are trying desperately to get the right formula. Well Fic’s has got it right. Every aspect of the restaurant is simple yet stylish. As can be seen in the picture the high ceilings and spacious layout ensures that you’re not elbow-to-elbow with the next person. The staff is well trained as can be expected from the Hilton, which makes service wonderful. Then of course the food is some of the best in Malaysia.

The food is the most important aspect of the restaurant. Freshly baked still warm bread is served as you wait for the rest of the meal. There are a few dishes which are a must try at Fic’s. The first is the Lamb Shank. The tender meat just melts off the bone while the gravy and the mashed potatoes make for a hearty meal.

There is something special for lovers of fresh water king prawns, the “Udang Galah Lemongrass Satay” is truly amazing. Served on a bed of rice the Soya mirin dressing draws out the full flavor of the prawns.

Fic’s has an impressive spread of vegetarian dishes so there is something to appeal every appetite. With a superb, wide range of wines to go with every dish, it’s hard to go wrong at Fic’s.
