The World Halal Forum is THE Halal industry event of the year. The keynote speaker will be Datuk Seri Hj. Abdullah Ahmad Badawi The Prime Minister of Malaysia, and Chairman of the OIC. He will present his vision for the role of the Halal industry in Malaysia and for the 57 OIC member nations.

The inaugural World Halal Forum will be held in Kuala Lumpur from May 8-10 2006. Interactive sessions over three days will cover a variety of relevant topics, with Halal industry leaders presenting papers covering the business and trade issues that concern our industry. Each session will end with panel discussions comprising of speakers and industry experts.

The World Halal Forum is not and academic event. It is an industry event, the first of its kind to be hosted anywhere in the world.

The World Halal Forum will be held in conjunction with Halal Malaysia Week and concurrently with the MIHAS, the Malaysian International Halal Showcase 2006, the world's largest Halal trade fair.
